It is an undeniable fact that the very concept of hell is shrouded in mystery. We know what books and movies tell us hell is like, but we're left with so many questions. Is hell simply a place where sinners are sent to suffer for their sins, or is it much, much more than that?

All You Want to Know About Hell breaks down the three most popular views on hell and tells us what the Bible really says about this terrifying and mystifying place. From the "traditional" view of hell as a place of eternal torment to the early Christian view that hell is a place of suffering intended to purge sin and to bring about repentance, no other book gives such in-depth biblical insight into the truths about hell that are hidden in all the hype.

 Features include:

  • Complete coverage of the three most popular views on hell
  • Clear explanation of what Scripture really says
  • An easy and interesting read for laypeople, pastors, and scholars alike

Reading it was an enjoyable and enlightening experience.
5 stars By Peter Sollorz, Apr 08 2015
I really enjoyed this book. I am now reading it for the second time.
It looks at conditionalism, annihilationism, and universalism. It was very comprehensive and considered all sides of these views arguments.
It was a good and enlightening read, but one has to be open to alternative possibilities regarding the length of time that hell goes on for, otherwise it might be quite unsettling and upsetting. I found the most challenging part to be the end of chapter 4, on "Lazarus and the Rich Man," because the author argued for this parable not to be a true picture of what heaven and hell was really like. I was very strong in my beliefs that this shows hell's true state that I let the argument unsettle me, but on the third reread I realised that the author speaks a lot of truth. My favourite chapter was the fifth one which mentions the possible meanings of aionios, it contains good technical (not too technical) information on the greek terms Gehenna and Aionios. Overall, I believe this book is eye opening, and provides more comprehensive information than I found in other books on the subject. You're left entitled to your view, but leaves one thinking whether to believe the other views or not, and shows how those other views were treated by the early church."
