Pathway Bible Guides are designed to be short, straight-forward, and easy to use, with an uncomplicated vocabulary. Simple, without being simplistic, the Pathway Bible Guides model good Scripture-reading principles for Christians who find reading a challenge or are encountering the Bible for the first time.
To start at the very beginning, as the song says, is a very good place to start. This is true of the Bible as well. The opening chapters of Genesis lay down some massive foundation stones for all that God proceeds to do in our world, culminating in Jesus Christ.
BEGINNING WITH GOD takes you on a journey through these momentous chapters, pausing to look at creation, the role of humanity in the world, the fall, the spread of sin, the floor and the tower of Babel. The final study focuses on Abraham, the man God chose to begin his great plan of salvation for the world. 8 studies. Leader's notes included.
PATHWAY BIBLE GUIDES
This series aims to provide simple, straightforward Bible study material for:
* Christians who are new to studying the Bible (perhaps because they've been recently converted or because they have joined a Bible study group for the first time);
* Christians with lower literacy levels who find other studies (such as the Interactive Bible Studies) too much of a stretch.
Accordingly, we've designed the studies to be short, straightforward and easy to use, with an uncomplicated vocabulary. At the same time, we've tried to do justice to the passages being studied, and to model good Bible-reading principles. We've tried to be simple without being simplistic; no-nonsense without being no-content.
The questions and answers assume a small group context, but can be easily adapted to suit different situations, such as individual study and one-to-one. - Publisher.
