Paperback

Birds are mentioned repeatedly in the Bible. They play a big role in illustrating the authors' intentions and in describing the characters in the stories.

Whether you're a dedicated birdwatcher or an armchair Attenborough, this book is a real treat! It covers all of the bird species in Scripture, presenting a mix of ornithological data and commentary on the birds' biblical significance. With exquisite watercolour illustrations, it's an ideal gift!

The Prologue sets the scene by giving a simple description of the topography and climate in Israel, so that readers - wherever they are - may get a sense of what the place is like. The ensuing chapters cover topics such as the creation of birds; bird migration; Job's birds; birds and Jesus; and singing and nesting birds.

Thank you for the warning on this book. I was just about to purchase it for a family member. I too am surprised Koorong is still selling it a year later and featuring it in the catalogue.

Caution

Bought this book for my grandson, returned it to Koorong. Author has evolutionary leanings.
I am surprised that Koorong is still selling it.
