Meet the Author

Thomas Bokenkotter

THOMAS BOKENKOTTER is pastor of Assumption Church, an inner-city parish in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has a doctorate in history from Louvain University in Belgium and teaches Church history at Xavier University. He is the author of A Concise History of the Catholic Church (Doubleday, 1990, Dynamic Catholicism (Doubleday, 1986) and Church and Revolution. He is also active in social ministry, having established a soup kitchen in the inner city and a transitional center for women and children.
