Coffee Shop: Love Is Brewing is the story of Donavan Turner (Laura Vandervoort), a smart, independent, twenty-something woman looking for just the right blend of happiness in her life. She owns a hip neighborhood coffee shop in a quaint, scenic beach town and her specialty is matching people to their perfect, new brew. While she's been less than successful fixing her love life, Donavan enjoys her work and has the robust support of her sister Becky (Rachel Hendrix), Becky's boyfriend Kevin (Jason Burkey) and the wonderful, eclectic family of her coffee shop regulars.
Unfortunately, she's keeping a secret from them all. The new bank owner, Frank Miller (Jon Lovitz), won't extend her loan and she's facing immediate foreclosure. Things get further complicated when Donovan's ex-boyfriend Patrick (Josh Ventura) returns to declare his love just as her clashes with Broadway playwright and tea-drinker Ben Carson (Cory M. Grant) get interesting. Ben is in town writing his new play for his producer (Kevin Sorbo). With love and financial ruin bubbling around her, Donovan realizes that her identity and self-worth are not defined by what she can accomplish alone. Instead, Donovan and her community can accomplish more together, which leads her to make choices she may not have before.

Nice Christian Romance
4 stars By Margot , Apr 30 2018
Coffee Shop is a sweet romantic comedy. It's fairly predictable, but still enjoyable. Donavan owns a coffee shop. She is a great people person, and generous to a fault, with little business sense, leaving the coffee shop at risk of closing. Along comes Ben, a down-and-out play writer, who is too poor to save the business, but goes a long way to saving her love life, despite the reappearance of an old love. In the midst of the mess all around her, Donavan reaches out to God. To find out how God works all things out for their good and our entertainment, you'll have to watch the movie - enjoy.

Great feel-good movie
4 stars By Kingsley, Dec 29 2016
Apart from a couple of instances of drinking (wine), which seemed out of context and unnecessary, this is one of the better movies I've watched in recent times. Some of the one liners from the lead male character are priceless (romantic). Although not strongly spiritual, it is lightly faith based throughout. Definately recommend this one if you like clean Christian based romance movies.

A nice, enjoyable movie
3 stars By Marija, Dec 06 2016
It is so lovely to find a chick flick that is not only 'squeaky clean', but also has a Christian message (even if it is limited to a few brief references to Bible quotes). Coffee Shop is a nice, enjoyable movie.
Unfortunately though, it never really goes beyond being a 'nice' or 'good' movie: Its never quite makes it to being a 'great' movie. I think it is let down by parts of the story that are unconvincing. For example, Donavan keeps having these rather childish over-reactions that just seem ridiculous.
I'd recommend it for a fun, enjoyable movie, but it probably won't become you next favourite movie.

Enjoyable Viewing
3 stars By Rochelle, NSW, Jun 16 2016
After seeing this at the Store and purchasing it, I then saw it on Apple TV too!
Wasn't sure what to expect but it ended up being an enjoyable, sweet story of the impact a Coffee Shop and its owner can have on a community.
The sub stories were enjoyable and the characters mostly likable.

Hope you enjoy it as I did!

A cute love story to watch with the girls!
4 stars By Amber, May 27 2016
I really enjoyed this movie. It still had a little bit of a cheese factor, but with great acting throughout they definitely pulled this one off! I think this is a great movie for women of all ages.
