Meet the Authors

Sam Halverson

Sam Halverson is minister with youth at First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Ohio. He has also led workshops at national events for youth workers and is the author of the Abingdon Press books " Destination Unknown: 50 Mystery Trips," "55 Group-Building Activities for Youth" and "Open Doors, Open Arms: How to Reach New Youth." Sam has also contributed to Abingdon's "Combos for Youth Groups" series.

Anne Broyles

Anne Broyles discovered Priscilla's story while researching the Cherokee Trail of Tears for a young adult novel she was writing. Anne is the author of many books, including Shy Mama's Halloween (Tilbury House), a Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young People. She lives in North Andover, Massachusetts.

Dave Stewart

Dr. David Stewart is a retired United Methodist pastor, a former university science professor, and a noted authority on essential oils and their healing applications. Author of 15 books mostly in the alternative health field, two of his works won the "Books of the Year" Award from the American Journal of Nursing, while one of his publications has sold over 2 million copies in ten languages. He travels throughout America presenting programs on Healing Oils of the Bible and gives three-day seminars on healing and anointing with oils. He resides on a farm in rural Missouri near the town of Marble
