Crying Out For Vindication (Gospel According To The Old Testament Series)

David R Jackson

$20.99

Paperback
With gripping interpretation and excellent anecdotes, this book links Job's experience with the gospel, showing that his hope was the same as ours today. In Jesus our questions and confusions are resolved, our faith vindicated, and our suffering redeemed.

"Why do the innocent suffer? Drawing upon his years of pastoral ministry, David Jackson takes us on an interesting journey where we experience, along with Job, "the depth of God's grace to us in Christ who, by his own choice, suffered more than Job to save us from the cruelty and domination of sin." This book is a 'must read' for anyone going through difficult times."

Fantastic Read - Job comes alive
5 stars By efulle, Sep 04 2007
This is a great book, really easy to read while exploring the complex issues addressed in Job. David's years of experience as a pastor and as a Bible teacher in a high school are evident in the way he presents his information: it is easy to read and entertaining, with a good combination of text and examples.

The book has a focus on the what Job and his friends experiences teach us about God's character and how we relate to him.

The book is set out in three main sections with a couple of chapters in each, with a series of further research questions and cross references at the end of each chapter so would be appropriate for a bible study or small group.

I would highly recommend this book to Christians of all ages and experiences: this book will challenge older Christians as well as young in how they respond to negatives in this world.
