Heart breaking
4 stars By Trudy , Jun 30 2016
Lydia gets stuck in a loveless marriage that is full of hate and pain, however when her husband and father dies she inherits his fortune.

It's well written and detailed in Lydia's attempted escape of her husbands family. I love how Lydia rebuilds her life and finds people who are willing to help her along the way

Gripping book
4 stars By Joy, Apr 29 2016
Poor marriage, difficult family and passionate people who'll do anything to financially get ahead. These are obstacles the main character has to deal with without God's help most of the time. An easy to read story with an interesting plot.

Pleasantly surprised
4 stars By Alyce, Apr 23 2016
I had never heard of this author but really enjoyed this first book in the series. The characters are well-developed and the story was both sweet and suspenseful at the same time. It is cleverly written and full of events I did not see coming. I will definitely read the next books in the series.
