Earth Psalms: Reflections on How God Speaks Through Nature

$19.99

Hardback

Millions of readers have been captivated by Francine Rivers' bestselling novels Redeeming Love and A Voice in the Wind. Now, in this weekly devotional, Francine reflects on the way God speaks to us in the natural world. Includes stunning photography, Scriptures, applications, and prayers.

"Earth Psalms is a gorgeous book. The pages, the colors, the pictures and the cover are, themselves, works of art depicting brushstrokes of God on the breathtaking face of earth. But it's the writing-insightful, fragrant and personal-that breathes this beauty to life and transports us in our imaginations to each scene. What captivates me most is that beloved fiction author Francine Rivers invites us, in this nonfiction offering, not only into her Father's world but into her own. You will be so glad you came."

Anecdotes from nature
4 stars By Drew, Jan 11 2017
Okay so the reason I picked up this book was because my Mum and sisters absolutely LOVED the Francine River's book 'Redeeming Love'. In fact that book still goes down as one of their all time favorite fiction books. Amazing story - if you haven't read it, DO!!

Anyway, this is a different direction for Francine with this photographically illustrated hard bound book called 'Earth Psalms - reflections on how God speaks through nature'. My first thought is this book would make a fantastic gift, it just has that look about it I guess.

Inside is a collection of 52 chapters with the idea that you read one a week. Each one is based on a theme linked to something in nature e.g. earthworms, squirrels, sheep, redwoods. There is a scripture for each one, anecdotes from nature, and ending off with a 'Reflect' 'Apply' and 'Connect with God'. Good text for those who enjoy River's writing style. Perhaps consider it as a gift for your Mum?
