Gold!!!
5 stars By Steven, Jul 14 2017
If your interested in this book you would already know why. The book is very well edited with nice clear print and colour pictures in a nice glossy hardback cover. Good to have if your studying early church history and want to see how christian history was conducted then. Though its not a scholarly work by todays standards, it can help to understand the early faith. Overall very good book to have.

I believe that this is a must read.
3 stars By Jacqueline, Nov 23 2013
THE MAIN REASON THAT I SUGGEST IT SHOULD BE READ: This is the earliest Christian history book. It covers the period from Christ to Constantine and so it is only a documented history of early Christianity; the first 300 years. Yet, unlike writers of early history books today, Eusebius was an eye-witness in the period of Constantine. So to read a Christian history book from 300 AD means that you are going back to the source of all Christian history books that are written today!

THE READ ITSELF: Boring at times! This is the truth. But some may consider geneologies in the bible to be a tad boring at times as well. But there was a purpose to it, and so there is a benefit to reading this book as well.

ENCOURAGING STORIES: There are some nuggets in this book. Stories that will be inspiring to read include stories about the apostle John and his encouraging faith in action.

PRINT: This edition is a hardcover and it has a dustcover. The book is just a plain blue book underneath the dustcover, which is glossy and printed. The print is nice and large and so easy to read. The individual pages of the book are a nice glossy white. There are handy footnotes at the bottom of the page with references. Colour pictures included of various sites or statues of past rulers may or may not be helpful.
