Thoroughly enjoyable
5 stars By Susan, Aug 15 2013
Although I had not read any of Roseanna White's books before, I was not disappointed. From the beginning, the setting was made clear and I found myself hoping for the 'right' outcome and for good and love to win out. The characters quickly became friends or villains. This book is set in the time period leading up to the French Revolution and allows for the concept that not all aristocracy was evil and that God could still have His way and help people through that time.
It is refreshing to read novelsnovellas in which people are often talking with God in their thoughts.
Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable book and I look forward to more of her books.
