5 stars By Margot, Jul 31 2015
In my opinion, Gabriel's Bride is the best of the Clover Ridge series. I loved the stern Gabriel, so devoted to his first wife, Rebecca, who died long ago. I loved Rachel Yoder, clumsy, distracted, funny, and so lonely. There are other delightful characters, some of whom we have met before, like Mary Elizabeth (great to follow her story a bit more this time) and Ruth, mother of the Fisher clan, who continues to share such Godly wisdom. There are new folk too, like Gabriel's Downs Syndrome son who immediately steals Rachel's heart (and mine) and his cheeky brothers who are determined not to have a new mother. I enjoyed every part of the story, and just couldn't put it down. I will be looking out for more from this author. Highly recommended.
