Essential for Marriage Preparation
5 stars By Annette, Feb 15 2015
As a older couple, we gift engaged couples with two copies of this workbook. It is excellent for helping couples identify how their family backgrounds can affect their marriage, and to know what these are. We also like the book because it includes finances ... a sticking point in most relationships and the cause of many relationship breakdowns.

essential pre marriage reading
5 stars By Belinda, Sep 03 2012
We used this book during our engagement (15 years ago) and it has helped us set up a very happy marriage. It covers so many areas of life - our past, present and future. It helped us recognize our ways of thinking passed on by our parents, our expectations of ourselves and each other and brought up many areas of potential conflict in a marriage to be talked about and worked through before hand. It gave us common expectations so when the issues have arisen in our marriage we have been on the same page. Each section has his and her answer pages which are completed individually and then you come together to discuss your answers. It is very non threatening and very personalized as it is the two people involved that are answering the questions about themselves. We highly recommend this book to any couple considering marriage.
