Meet the Authors

Brother Andrew

Brother Andrew began his work in 1955 as a one-man mission--visiting, teaching, and taking Bibles to Christians behind the Iron Curtain. That work has since developed into Open Doors International, a nondenominational organization with bases around the world. When not traveling, Brother Andrew makes his home in the Netherlands.

Engaging
5 stars By Craig, Apr 25 2017
This book was engaging to read. One thing I really appreciated about the book was that it continually reminded me of God's providence and that we can trust Him. After reading it, I found myself less worried about things as I now trust more in God's provision.

Great
5 stars By Hannah, Dec 27 2016
Great book to show the struggles of the Christian church over time and then importance of remaining faithful to God's purpose regardless of the persecution that may come. It reveals the amount of freedom we truly have today and the importance of not taking it for granted or forgetting the sacrifices people made in order for our freedom to be a reality

powerful
3 stars By Bri, Dec 27 2016
I love how brother Andrew was so passionate for God that the consequences for witnessing didn't even cause him pause. This is an awesome version of book that is written for easier reading for teens.
This will truly challenge your faith and encourage you to preach and witness to those around you and perhaps even in the mission field!

Excellent Read, Eye-Opening
5 stars By Ben Smart, Jul 25 2016
This engaging book gives insight into the remarkable life of Brother Andrew and how God has used him to serve persecuted Christians around the world, particularly those suffering under the Communist regimes of the 50's and 60's.

Brother Andrew displayed an amazing trust in God as he made countless life-threatening trips behind the Iron Curtain to deliver Bibles to Christians who desperately needed them, and to encourage them to remain faithful in extremely difficult circumstances.

This book will encourage and inspire you to live for God with boldness and faith. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
