He has a B.A. from Taylor University and the S.T.B. and Ph.D. from Boston University. Dr. Wingeier has served as a pastor; minister of education; campus minister in Massachusetts, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin; and a United Methodist missionary teaching at Trinity Theological College in Singapore. He is a retired clergy member of the Wisconsin Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church and currently resides in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina
