Do you "want" to get well?

The power to heal-physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually-is in God's hands. But the "choice" to be healed is ours. Everyone, at some level, needs healing. In this book, Stephen Arterburn outlines ten choices crucial to receiving healing and ten lies that can prevent us from making them. Readers will find the wholeness God desires for them in a practical and prayerful way through this book.

Now including the full workbook, this combined release emphasizes the fact that we must choose to let the hurt go and let the healing begin.

The book asks the participant, "Do you want to be healed?" If the answer is yes, then ten choices are provided to make the path toward healing a restorative experience.

Embracing these choices means rejecting the lies we often tell ourselves. But you must put one foot in front of the other and choose to let the hurt go and let the healing begin.

Disappointed
1 stars By Maria, Oct 18 2016
I feel the cover is misleading as to the content of this book. The cover states that healing is a choice but then within the book the author claims that the choice to heal physically is ultimately up to God. Upon closer inspection, the book seems to be addressing healing of the emotions more than anything.

Unfortunately I feel It is a confusing title compared to the doctrine presented.

A Helpful Book for People Seeking Healing
4 stars By Dr. Bernard Low, Jun 20 2016
Stephen Arterburn has written a helpful book to challenge people to make choices that will help them heal from painful past. These choices include to connect your life, to feel your life, to investigate your life in search of truth, to heal your future, to help your life, to embrace your life, to forgive, to risk your life, to serve, and, to persevere. With each choice, Arterburn also uncovers the lie that may prevent us from making that choice. For example, to make the choice to connect your life, we must get rid of the lie "All I need to heal is just God and me." Throughout the book, there were real life stories of people who made some of these choices. The story includes the author's own account of his journey through divorce. This book will prove helpful to anyone desiring healing from pain, a new lease of life and wanting to be useful to God and others in service again despite one's pain.
