:Can he break through her iron-clad defenses and win her heart?

NFL superstar Gray Fowler is used to obsessive fans, but a threatening stalker is different. Still, he protests when his team hires 24/7 protection until his stalker is caught. But just about the last thing Gray expects is for his new bodyguard to be a tall, gorgeous, and tough-as-nails woman.

Former Marine and black belt Dru Porter needs this assignment to go well after her disastrous last case. She even agrees--reluctantly--to pretend to be Gray's girlfriend while on duty. But if he has any ideas about a real connection, he's out of luck. This is her chance to prove she's ready to be back in the field, and she's doing this case strictly by the book.

However, the more time they spend together, the harder it is to keep her guard up when it becomes clear that Gray could be her one and only perfect match.

"Filled with genuine emotion and overflowing with positive examples of faith, the story captures the imagination while warming the heart."--Publishers Weekly starred review on A Love Like Ours

One of the best books I've read this year!!
5 stars By Maria, Dec 05 2018
Fantastic addition to the Porter series! I loved the characters, plot and setting. I loved Dru's feistiness and daring spirit. She might be tough on the outside, but she has a beautiful heart! Dru and Gray are so good together, and I was rooting for them from the first few chapters.
It was lovely to see how Dru helped Gray overcome his personal problems.
I loved the plot! It had lots of twists and turns to keep me entertained the whole time.
Overall, a great novel, and one of my favourites this year (and I read 300 novels per year).
Well worth reading; I would highly recommend it!

a great ending to a fantastic series
4 stars By Marija, Sep 24 2018
I have really enjoyed this series by Becky Wade, and 'Her One and Only' makes a great conclusion. Dru is quite different from the previous female leads in the other books, but none the less likeable. With engaging plot twists, humorous dialogue and the fun-loving Porter family, this is a must-read for fans of well-written romance.

Mystery and romance
4 stars By Hayley, Sep 18 2018
I didn't want to read this book at first when I realised that the male character was a football player. I am Australian and I am not interested in Anerican football. But after reading the other books in the series and getting to Dru a little through her brothers' stories I wanted to read her story. Thankfully there was very limited mention of football and a lot of great romantic scenes.
The side story continued Meg and Bo's journey of becoming parents which was great for those who have read the rest of the series.
The mystery weaved through the story was the question of who the stalker is and who was hurt or killed in the prologue.
The author includes spiritual themes with the characters forgiving those who have caused them hurt in the past, repenting, seeking forgiveness from others and changing their habits to "live like they are forgiven". The author brought out how fulfillment is not found in wealth or fame but in God alone.

Delightful and deep
4 stars By Hannah, Apr 16 2017
The last of the Porter Family series, this book not only told Dru's story but tied up some of the rest of the siblings' stories. It had a lot more suspense than the others but was just as enjoyable. I love the Porter family! They have their issues, certainly, and some serious ones at that, but they truly love each other - and that's never been more obvious than in this book when one of their own is in danger.

It's a story taking on a lot of deep issues - the long-term effects of child abuse on an adult, trust, living out faith, forgiveness, fame and worth - but within the confines of a beautiful story of two people finding each other and falling in love. Great way to end the series.

Waiting is over!
4 stars By Rochelle, NSW, Jan 05 2017
Way to get a reader in! Start with a shooting, almost felt like I was reading a Henderson or Eason book. Dru Porter is one tough main Character but then Gray Fowler is hardly a 'light weight' main lead either.
There is a lot of detail into the 'issues' for each personality but in many ways I enjoy the 'reasons' for character traits. Gray has some depth to him that once he figures it out complement Dru's need to find home. Thankfully they find it together. I also really loved that Becky wrote in Meg and Bo's continuing story too!!
Enjoy, I have. One of the best holiday reads of 2017 :)
