Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker two of the most acclaimed writers of supernatural thrillers have joined forces for the first time to craft a story unlike any you've ever read. Enter "House" where you'll find yourself thrown into a killer's deadly game in which the only way to win is to lose...and the only way out is in.

The stakes of the game become clear when a tin can is tossed into the house with rules scrawled on it. Rules that only a madman or worse could have written. Rules that make no sense yet must be followed.

One game. Seven players. Three rules. Game ends at dawn."

A Disappointment
2 stars By Karen, Aug 31 2008
After reading Peretti's previous thrillers I expected (and hoped) to again be on the edge of my seat - challenged, excited, and uplifted. Sadly I was not, "House" left me disappointed and empty. After starting well, with interesting characters caught in a terrifying situation, the book collapsed into a maze of illogic and questionable spiritual beliefs that threw me out of the story with a painful thud, not caring what happened to the characters.

Disappointing
1 stars By macca, May 29 2007
I have read all of Peretti's work and usually love his penmanship. But "House" is not up to his usual standard.
Predictable plot twists, charicatured main characters, thin plot, bizarre symbology and an awful conclusion all abound in this book.
I find it bizarre in the extreme that a movie is being made and that this book is being pushed more than his others.
If you want to read a good Peretti thriller, go and get Oath, now that is a good read. If you want to read something as trashy as Nightmare on Elm Street from a Christian perspective then get House.
