:

Yousef, whose mother threatened to kill him for having a Bible, now smuggles Bibles the way his family once smuggled drugs.
After Parveen's employer beats her for attending church, Parveen begins to help other young Christian women who work in Muslim houses.
Abdulmasi kills hundreds of Christians in northern Nigeria with no remorse-until the day he chooses a new life of faith and sacrifices everything for a God of love.

What can we learn from these faith-filled brothers and sisters around the world? How can we pray for them? And what do their remarkable stories teach us about a God whose light shines in a dark world?

I-Am-N reminds us that we are each "N"-as radical Muslims in Iraq identify followers of Jesus the Nazarene. Wherever we live, we have camaraderie with those who are persecuted. So come meet their families. Read their stories. Deepen your faith in a God who gives us the courage to shine in a dark and hurting world.

A Wake-Up Call
5 stars By Alice, Feb 02 2018
The true stories in this book were a real wake-up call for me during a time when I wasn't taking my faith as seriously as I should have been. The book enlightened me to the intense struggles that so many brothers and sisters around the world face. But not only were their trials brought to light, but also their forgiveness of their persecutors and their rejoicing in God's love throughout it all. I was particularly challenged to feel sorry for people who hurt me, for whatever reason, as they are the ones who are deprived, not me.

I would recommend this book to every single Christian in the western world where we take the freedom to practice our faith for granted every day. This book will be a real wake-up call, not only to appreciate the freedom that we have in the west, but also to take our faith more seriously and to remember our brothers and sisters around the world and pray for them.

5 stars By Jo, Mar 31 2017
My husband is an Assyrian Christian from Iraq so this book was very close to home for our family.
A very inspiring collection of first account stories of the horrors not only Christians face in Muslim counties, but of the Muslims who choose to follow our Lord. Each section will bring a tear to your eye reconfirm your faith. It also reminds us to be grateful of the county we live in, that we can practise our faith freely without persecution. The companion devotional book CD would make a perfect gift.

Painfully Inspiring and Challenging
4 stars By Raj, Mar 31 2016
You may have seen the symbol on everyone's Facebook status a few years back? It's the Arabic letter 'n' used by Islamic extremists to identify Christians. What was intended as a mark of ridicule became a symbol of solidarity and courage. This book is in the tradition of the old Jesus Freaks books - an introduction to the modern day persecuted church featuring very real and painful stories of what our comrades in the faith face in other countries. Very sobering and cannot be read without an internal call to action!
