All worldviews, including atheism, require faith. Believing anything requires some degree of faith, even if many adherents don't want to think so. I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist argues that Christianity requires the least faith of all because it is the most reasonable. In a logical, readable, non-technical, engaging style, Norman Geisler and Frank Turek lay out the evidence that the truth about reality is knowable, that God exists, and that the Bible is reliable. In this valuable aid for those interested in examining the reasonableness of the Christian faith, doubters of all sorts will find their objections answered and Christians will find their confidence in the faith strengthened.

To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable.

Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide readers through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God. They move into an examination of the source of morality and the reliability of the New Testament accounts concerning Jesus. The final section of the book deals with a detailed investigation of the claims of Christ. This volume will be an interesting read for those skeptical about Christianity, as well as a helpful resource for Christians seeking to articulate a more sophisticated defense of their faith.

Thorough resource for equipping the contemporary lay apologist
4 stars By Fiona E Brown, Dec 04 2017
I very much recommend this thorough exploration of apologetics. I found this book easy to read and understand, and by nature of its completeness, quite long.
The multifaceted atheistic arguments against the Christian Faith, be they scientific, moral, historic etc are individually addressed. Each argument is in conclusion weighed, as if on scales, tipping in assertion that it would take more faith to believe the atheist position than the Christian.
It is clear that an incredible amount of research was undertaken to pull this volume together; which is why, when I reached the chapter on Miracles, I was perplexed. The premise provided was that "Biblical Miracles were special acts of God that laid the foundation for his permanent revelation to mankind" and thus are not "needed" as the "foundation only needs to be laid once". Here the author appears to rely more on subjective conservative opinion and does not include objective thorough research into the plethora of reports of the Spirit's outworking through miracles in God's people today.
All in all a great resource.

'Must Have' for witnessing to atheists
5 stars By Seattle Sue, Jan 27 2016
A friend of mind is an avowed atheist. He challenged me over many months about evolution vs the Bible's explanation of Creation, the Flood of Noah etc. This book was an indispensable handbook for me. He was nonplussed when I discussed micro-evolution vs macro-evolution. The facts about 'irreducible complexity' stumped him, too. Geisler and Turek explained them clearly so that I could present them confidently to my friend. Those truths need to be taught to all Christians today since the religion of evolution is standard in virtually every school. This book presents the answers Biblically, scientifically and with plenty of humour.

Questions answered
5 stars By Mable, Oct 20 2015
This is the most comprehensive explanation of the logic and reality of Christianity I have ever seen. It made me think very hard and posed some very challenging questions. I would like a potted version of all the main points to help searching friends. It is very detailed and could be seen as a bit heavy in places. However, skeptics will find it very hard to find any loopholes in the arguments! It has been written to answer every possible challenge. I have it in the audio book and paper back copies. It is a book to lend but I cannot be without it.
