Meet the Authors
Phillip Jensen is well-known in Australia and the UK as a gifted Bible teacher and ministry visionary. After many years as the Pastor of St Matthias Church, Sydney, and the Chaplain to the University of New South Wales, he became the Anglican Dean of Sydney.
Under God, Phillip Jensen has recruited and trained many young men and women for full-time gospel ministry, and initiated a number of very significant ministry organizations, including the Ministry Training Strategy and Matthias Media.
He also authored the popular Two Ways To Live gospel tract and The Archer and the Arrow, has co-authored a number of Bible studies and has made several CDs. Phillip and his wife, Helen, live in Sydney and have three adult children (and a growing number of grandchildren)

Burning Desire is a heavy weight Bible study, that covers two books of the Bible; Obadiah and Malachi. Each of the six Bible studies takes over an hour to complete and covers so much ground. A background and introduction are included and a timeline is provided, covering when both Obadiah and Malachi were written. The Bible studies follows a similar comprehensive format. Detailed study notes are provided, which give insight and background. You are then asked to read the passages from Obadiah or Malachi. The book then asks questions about the Bible passages and gives you space to provide answers. In the next part you are referred to another passage of the Bible to read. You are given study questions which link the two passages together. You then read another set of details study notes, that reinforce the message and meaning of what you have just read. You are then asked to read more of the study books passages and answer more questions that relate to the study text. You are provided with a third set of study notes to read. Finally, you reach the 'Implications' section of the study. Thse quesetions need you to think about the answer from your life expereience or observations of the world today and how the study reading relates to you and your world. Finally you finish with thanks and prayer. A well structured Bible study that would work equally well for group or individual study.
