Meet the Authors

David Peterson

David Peterson (Ph.D., University of Manchester) is senior research fellow in New Testament at Moore Theological College, Sydney, Australia. Previously, he was principal of Oak Hill Theological College in London, England.

Dr Peterson's publications include Hebrews and Perfection (Cambridge University Press), Possessed by God (Volume 1, New Studies in Biblical Theology, InterVarsity Press), Engaging with God (InterVarsity Press),(with I. Gene Tucker

Gene M. Tucker is professor of Old Testament emeritus at Candler School of Theology, Emory University. Mays, Miller, and Tucker are all past presidents of the Society of Biblical Literature.

Christopher R Seitz

Christopher R. Seitz (Ph.D., Yale University) is professor of biblical interpretation at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, in Toronto, Ontario. He previously taught at the University of St. Andrews and Yale University. He is the author or editor of twelve books including Figured Out: Typology, Providence and Christian Scripture; Nicene Christianity The Future for a New Ecumenism; Goodly Fellowship of the Prophets, The: The Achievement of Association in Canon Formation; Isaiah 1-39 (Interpretation Bible Commentaries) and most recently Colossians (Brazos Theological Commentary on the Bible).

Patrick Miller

Patrick D. Miller is Charles T. Haley Professor Emeritus of Old Testament Theology at Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. He is the author of numerous books, including "The Religion of Ancient Israel". He is coeditor of the Interpretation commentary series and the Westminster Bible Companion series. In 1998, he served as President of the Society of Biblical Literature. He was also editor of "Theology Today" for twenty years.
