Meet the Authors

Stephen Gaukroger

Stephen Gaukroger, Senior Minister of Gold Hill Baptist Church in Buckinghamshire - the largest Baptist Church in England. He is on the Council of Spurgeon's College, was President of the Baptist Union of Great Britain from 1994-95 and currently acts as a Consultant for the European Board of the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association. He is the author of a many books on the Old and New Testament, apologetics and mission.

Joseph M Stowell

Joe Stowell serves as the 11th President of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Comprised of approximately 2500 undergraduate and graduate students, Cornerstone is a Christ - centered university with a passion for global influence through the transforming power of the gospel. The University is committed to creating an environment where students thrive both spiritually and intellectually as they prepare themselves to influence our world as followers of Jesus.

An internationally recognized conference speaker, Joe has also written numerous books including The Trouble with Jesus; Simply Jesus and You; The Upside of Down; and Eternity. Joe also serves with RBC Ministries, partnering in media productions, writing, and outreach to pastors. His Strength for the Journey web ministry, www.getmorestrength.org, features daily devotionals, weekly messages and commentary, downloadable Bible study curriculum, and an audio library of his most requested messages.

Joe serves on the Board of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Wheaton College, and has a distinguished career in higher education and church leadership. From 1987–2005, he served as the president of Moody Bible Institute, and as teaching pastor at the 10,000–member Harvest Bible Chapel in suburban Chicago

David Cook

David is a Presbyterian minister, having served in both Wee Waa and Ashfield. He is a graduate of Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC) and Moore Theological College. Prior to formal studies and pastoral ministry David worked in the Economic Research Department of the Reserve Bank. He is the Director of SMBCs School of Preaching and speaks at Christian conventions throughout Australia and overseas. David lectures in preaching and pastoral subjects. He has recently written Teaching Acts and The unheeded Christ.

Sinclair B Ferguson

Sinclair B. Ferguson (Ph.D., University of Aberdeen) is Senior Minister of the historic First Presbyterian Church of Columbia, SC, and Distinguished Visiting Professor of Systematic Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary. Liam Goligher

Liam Goligher is the Senior Minister at Duke Street Church, Richmond since 2000. He has pastored other churches in Ireland, Canada and his native Scotland. He is a respected Author, Bible Teacher & Conference speaker. He is married to Christine and they have five children and three granddaughters.

Jonathan Lamb

Jonathan Lamb is the Director of Langham Preaching, a programme which seeks to provide practical on-site support for a new generation of preachers and teachers, working with national leaders in organising training seminars, providing resources, and building a local movement committed to Bible exposition.

He is the author of several books, including Tough Minds, Tender Hearts (InterVarsity); Crossway Bible Guide on 2 Corinthians; Making Progress in Church Life (Paternoster/Partnership) and Faith in the Face of Conflict.

His most recent publications are Integrity: Leading with God Watching; From Why to Worship (InterVarsity), a study guide to the prophecy of Habakkuk and Godliness From Head To Toe a study guide to James. He lives with his wife, Margaret, and three daughters in Oxford, where they attend St. Andrew's Church.
