Meet the Author
Pastor's daughter Dee Henderson is a lifelong resident of Illinois, USA, and currently resides in Springfield. She believes that marketing books should be about the stories rather than the writer, so she keeps a low profile compared to many authors. Her background is in mathematics and computing science (B.Sc 1988) and she had a high paying job as an engineer before she moved into full-time writing in 1996. Her technical expertise has given her an unusually keen insight into the structural aspects of storytelling. The results are plain to see; since 1999, Dee has produced two bestselling fiction series - the acclaimed O'Malley series and Uncommon Heroes - as well as eleven stand-alone titles.
Dee's books brilliantly mix suspense and romance, and her characters undergo varied and interesting faith journeys that are integrated skillfully into the storylines. Dee's work has won or been nominated for several prestigious industry awards including the RWA's RITA Award, the Christy Award, the ECPA Gold Medallion, the Holt Medallion, the National Readers' Choice Award, and the Golden Quill.

This is a great story of how love can empower us to do the impossible and how it can also brig about pain when we care intensely yet how it is worthwhile and worth the risk. I love the passion that Luke showed in his work as he sought to find the killer
Kidnapped this was awesome suspense was great dee hendersonnis a great author ivd got all the booksv
Given how good a writer Dee is, it was no surprise this book was amazingly well written. I half expected to hear the kidnapping story on the news the night I finished it, before remembering it was fiction! She makes it feel as if you're really a part of it! While I felt like there were too many technical details at times, I loved the relationship between the two main characters and the unflinching faith they had in each other. It was captivatingly beautiful. Another great story from Dee Henderson.
This book is actually book four in Dee Henderson's Uncommon Heroes series. It has been repackaged as Kidnapped. I am really glad they have done this, as I always thought it didn't quite have the same vibe as the first three books in the series. Packaging it as a stand alone title makes much more sense, I think. This book begins with a kidnapping and allows us to enter the world of intense FBI agent Luke Falcon. As a man who deals with the darker side of life on a daily basis, Luke has enough cynicism and experience to be wary of love. However, as he investigates the case, he finds himself falling for Caroline, the aunt of the kidnapped boy. Courage and self-protection war against each other for both Luke and Caroline, as they struggle to find her missing family before it is too late. This book is very interesting and the characters incredibly believable. There are twist you won't see coming, and Henderson returns to the compelling, suspenseful style seen in Danger in the Shadows (O'Malley series, book 1). This book is definitely hard to put down, and a must-read for those who love suspense (in small doses).
