About "Life Explored DVD"
Life Explored is an exciting new way to share the gospel in today's highly visual culture. Developed by Christianity Explored Ministries, the seven interactive sessions are based on stunning videos shot all over the globe.
Life Explored will help people uncover what they're really living for, and shows how, in Christ, God meets our deepest desire for happiness. Each session explores an aspect of God's character. We see that the God of the Bible is good, trustworthy, generous, liberating, fulfilling, life-giving and joyful. And ultimately we see that the greatest pleasure in life is not enjoying the gifts he has given, but enjoying God himself.
This exciting, new outreach course can be run before or after Christianity Explored or Alpha and is perfect for anyone looking for answers to life's big questions.
This Life Explored DVD has superb production values and a warm, engaging presentation of the gospel by Rico Tice, Barry Cooper and Nate Morgan Locke.

Life Explored is a Group study series aimed at non-Christians that discusses many of the aspects of God, particularly ones which counter many of the common misconceptions in our modern day society. The DVD includes 2 videos per session, the first video is quite artistic' with no dialogue, but a story is told with the purpose of producing emotions of those watching, making them think about how they relate. The second video shown, which is a talk about the passage, linking in the gospel each week. These second videos are the highlight of the sessions, being well constructed and presented, and are very sound theologically. The study itself also includes discussion questions, which are in a separate book (purchased separately or as part of the kit with the leaders book) which I highly recommend for the study. The DVD could be used as a teaching tool in it's own right perhaps, but is definitely intended to be used alongside the other resources.
Each life-explored study contains two video's; a story that loosely explores the theme of the study (generosity, fulfillment, trust, etc.) and a then a video that has a presenter who explores the theme in relation to a passage. The first video's are emotive (which is their intention) and interesting, but at times it is not clear how the story relates to the theme, which leaves viewers confused. The second video, however, does a great job of explaining God's character and the implications this should have for our lives. Despite the ambiguity of the first video I would still recommend this study.
