I found this book very encouraging and helpful. A fact of life is that we are all going to be hurt by people at some stage whether minor or heart destroying. I loved how Pastor Franklin acknowledges this and give many personal examples and some from the bible. What I loved is that he gives very practical and doable ways to move forward and heal. At no stage does he belittle the pain. He shows how you don't need to stay stuck in the effects of it. A very practical book to read and own.
Love has many characteristics and kindness stands out for me. Profound yet tangible with results. Jentezen shares short stories that help us to picture how we can extend kindness to others and how it can win souls without preaching, but living our lives for God. I find it an encouraging and uplifting book.
Jentezen talks about different situations that may have hurt you and why it is so important to forgive along with other things. Forgiveness doesn't mean you forget about who or what hurt you it helps you with your walk with God and gives you peace. This is an amazing book and most of us have been hurt at sometime in our life.
