Meet the Author

David M Whitford

David M. Whitford (Ph.D., Boston University) is Associate Professor of the History of Christianity at United Theological Seminary, Ohio, USA. He is the author of Tyranny and Resistance: The Lutheran Tradition and the Magdeburg Confession; Reformation and Early Modern Europe: A Guide to Research, (ed) and Luther: A Guide for the Perplexed as well as numerous articles on Reformation Europe. He is also the associate editor of The Sixteenth Century Journal, and is currently working on a book on race and slavery that examines the so-called Curse of Ham from Genesis 9.
