This is an excellent book for Christians on Marriage. I would highly recommend it. It is very "Bible based" and I mean that in a good way :) as it also focuses well on God's grace. So many books, even Christian ones, seem to focus on "romance" and on "being in love" - and whilst these are marvellous gifts from God - I believe the Author correctly emphasises the Faithfulness that is the basis of Marriage. Well worth a read for those thinking about Marriage as well as those who have been married for any amount of time (we are 29 years this year). I've read dozens of Marriage books over the past 30 years, and I would say this is currently the best out there that I have read, and will be recommending it and using it as a Pastor :)
This is essential reading for those married or engaged Christians. My husband and I were given the book as a gift and read through it together. It offers a biblical theology on marriage as God intended. It encourages us to build a strong foundation on God in our marriage. I highly recommend it as a gift for newly married couples
This book was reccomended for me and my fiance and what a great reccomendation it was. The author succinctly and very clearly brings out the purpose of marriage and the way God intended marriage to be. We have found parts of the book confronting as it calls for confession of sin and open and honest dialoge between both husbands and wives, and engaged couples. But the book is also designed for single people in either understanding why they may wish to be married or why they may wish to be single. I think that for singles it is also an invaluable resource. If you are engaged then this is the right tool for you! A book that values God's word and cleary brings it to bear on this topic which is so important in all of our lives. If you are married i am sure it is also helpful, but i haven't got the experience to say yet.
