About "Message Slimline Edition Tan/Brown (Black Letter Edition)"

:Less than one inch thick, The Message Slimline is the skinniest Message Bible ever. Including The Message's readable single-column format, the Slimline edition combines the best features of both books and Bibles to give you the ideal Bible-reading experience.

The Message is a reading Bible translated from the original Greek and Hebrew Scriptures by scholar, pastor, author, and poet Eugene Peterson. Peterson spent ten years working on The Message after teaching in seminary and preaching in churches for more than thirty years. It combines the authority of God's Word with the cadence and energy of conversational English and was thoroughly reviewed and approved by twenty biblical scholars.

The Message rouses long-time Bible readers from their sleepy routines and awakens in them a renewed desire to hear God speak. For new readers, The Message breaks the stereotype that the Bible is stodgy, stiff, and humorless. Open The Message Slimline and encounter God's Word.
