A pleasant surprise
4 stars By Sandi, Jan 19 2018
Initially I was hesitant to read this book. I was concerned that it would not be believable. A "divine internet connection"? Sounded very B grade movie to me. However, I was happy to find that it was written well enough that I was able to suspend my connection to reality for a while and I enjoyed the story very much. A good, light read.

Surprising and Funny
4 stars By Jacqui, Apr 01 2016
Being a lover of all Max Lucado's Christian Living books I was a little unsure at what to expect from this work of fiction. It was surprising. I found that I easily engaged with the characters and felt the funny and stressful moments with them. I shouldn't have been surprised that it wasn't just a funny story with angels helping out on earth but really raises the whole awareness of God's love for us and how he does have us surrounded by His angels. This book has influenced the way that I pray now. An inspiring book to read.

A nice message but pretty cheezy
3 stars By Em Kay, Sep 28 2015
So I was expecting big things out of this book. I expected deep and meaningful but what I found instead was a light read, enjoyable but extremely cliche.
It follows the story of a mother of two young kids who has separated from her ex-NFL superstar husband who has a myriad of issues. She takes over the family cafe, and just when it seems like its time to close down - something very strange and heavenly happens. If you're after a light afternoon read - then this is your book. Just don't expect for it to move you.

I really enjoyed this book. It is quick and easy to read, I loved the characters and wish I could try some of the cupcakes from the Higher Ground Cafe! I would definitely recommend this book.
