Good reading
4 stars By Joy, May 04 2016
This second book in this series picks up 18 years after the conclusion of the first book but one does not think they have missed much. This book has another interesting story line with the truths of God's Word naturally woven throughout. In introducing new characters, these people soon become part of the journey of this series.

The reader may find an internet search for Sitka helpful to appreciate the location and beauty of the area where the story unfolds as the main characters in this story love the area. It can open up an insight to another area of God's amazing creation.

Well researched
3 stars By Alyce, Apr 23 2016
While I did enjoy this book it was not quite as exciting as the first in the series. Some new characters are introduced and it is a lovely story - it just lacked the shock and suspense of the first book. I did really enjoy learning more about some of the history of Alaska and could tell the author did her homework.
