Great devotional
5 stars By Sharon, Aug 17 2017
Takes you through the Psalms in a year slowly, with honest and humbling prayers as reflections of the psalm. Great to read through as a daily devotional book and reflect on the things the Psalms teach us.

Refreshing
5 stars By Raj, Aug 17 2017
In typical Keller style, his treatment of the Psalms of practical, accessible, and applicable. He doesn't hesitate sweeping through the gamut of themes and emotions in short, daily readings. A great book for the new believer and old-timer alike.

A devotional for all believers!
5 stars By Drew, Jul 05 2017
Ever want to read the psalms? Keller offers you a vibrant and structured way to do so. The purpose you ask? They challenge you. There are some places in the psalms that are hard to deal with. Reading through the Psalms is a good way to force yourself to come face to face with many uncomfortable things about the Bible, God, and Human nature itself. Tim Keller's insights and theological prayers offers guidance for application. Reading the Psalms is a good way to force yourself into an existential crisis and draw you back to our maker- God. They can give you words for others. When I minister to the suffering and the dying, I often have nothing to say. I don't have an answer for their sorrow, but I do have the words of the Psalms thanks to thus text! There are few things that I have seen that have the power to give people peace in the midst of trial as having a dearly loved Psalm read. There are no words I could offer that come close. This devotional text is a 'must have' for all Christians!

This has been a wonderful book for me. I use it as a companion to my times with Jesus each day. It invites me to pause and remember who God is, before I launch into prayer. The insights are helpful and have brought the Word alive to me. Such a wonderful book and a lovely gift to give to others.

Great reading
5 stars By Ly, Mar 08 2017
This is a great mediation book that illustrates in detail the book of psalms. My Rock, My Refuge is the perfect title for the book as it recounts the ways that the book of psalms can affect readers through meditating the book of psalms. Keller also provides biblical contexts and meaning in each chapter of the relevant passages in the book. It is an essential read and has been written in a clear, concise and practical manner.
