Paperback

An in-depth explanation of isotope dating (otherwise known as radiometric dating) and the reasons why million/billion year old results are not credible.

  • What textbooks and newspapers won't tell you.
  • Why discrepancies are common and dating methods are not "self checking."
  • That there is no unequivocal support for an Earth age of 4.5 billion years.
  • How geologists often disagree on which dates are "good."
  • Why advancements in isotopic dating have only expanded the list of rationalizations for unwelcome dates.
  • The steady but obvious retreat of expectations for dating methods.
  • How chance alone can explain most agreements between methods.
And much more!

Meet the Author

John Woodmorappe

As earlier in life, John Woodmorappe was intensely curious. He wanted to go deeper. He decided to major in both geology and biology because of the pivotal role of these two disciplines in the study of origins. Then again, he had geology in his blood, as his grandfather had been a geologist who had owned an oil well (at Boryslaw, now in the western Ukraine). He ended up with a BA in Biology, a BA in Geology, and an MA in Geology. Woodmorappe is constantly learning new things on his own, and conducting scientific research. He now has numerous publications, including the following three books: Studies in Flood Geology, Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study and The Mythology of Modern Dating Methods.
