Solid introduction to biblical theology
4 stars By Hoa, Oct 21 2016
This dictionary is split in to three sections. The first contains articles discussing a variety of foundational issues in biblical theology While helpful, the short space and assumed knowledge make them slightly inaccessible to a reader new to the topic. Furthermore, many articles repeat information already described in others. The second section looks at the books of the bible first as collections, then as individual books. It goes through the themes and emphases of each corpus and book. This section is an excellent starting point for readers trying to understand the main focuses of each book. Finally the third section is a collection of themes found in the Bible. Each article traces the theme through the canon, providing a rich resource for grasping the threads woven throughout Scripture. They are short, but provide a good overview and references to look up.
