About "Nothing But Trouble (#01 in Pj Sugar Series)"
It's not fair to say that trouble happens every time PJ Sugar is around, but it feels that way when she returns to her home town, looking for a fresh start. Within a week, her former teacher is murdered and her best friend's husband is arrested as the number-one suspect. Although the police detective investigating the murder?who also happens to be PJ's former flame?is convinced it's an open-and-shut case, PJ's not so sure. She begins digging for clues in an effort to clear her friend's husband and ends up reigniting old passions, uncovering an international conspiracy, and solving a murder along the way. She also discovers that maybe God can use a woman who never seems to get it right.

Pj wants to break free from the misconceptions that people have about her and prove that she is able to do a job well and not get in trouble, this story follows her attempts to do that and how her plan seems to backfire
A great new suspense author to enjoy that I hadn't read before! I loved the way the 'heroine' as such was not your typical heroine and was actually prone to getting in trouble. The author showed the potential of people who aren't 'perfect' by society's standards but how that shouldn't impact determination and commitment. I thought the plot was really well written, and I honestly wasn't able to predict the ending which was awesome
The adventure begins. PJ left her home town under a heavy cloak of misunderstanding that even she doesn't recognise as such. When she returns 10 years later she must work hard to change the way everyone sees her, including her own family, an ex-boyfriend, and, more than anyone, herself. Along the way to proving herself, she works hard at solving the mystery of a man's murder, for which her long-time best friend's husband has been falsely accused. PJ fumbles her way through trying to solve the case with a heap of hilarious twists and turns along the way, along with a great deal of soul searching as PJ faces up to and deals with the past. I highly recommend this fabulously entertaining read, but warn that it is rather hard to put down once you've started it.
