Wacky murder mystery.
3 stars By Ibu Guru, May 27 2017
This story is a comedy with plenty of laughs so I found that incongruous with the subject matter of the murder. People in real life who have a family member murdered (like ourselves) somehow don't find the subject so lighthearted. The characters come across to me as very shallow.

Chick flick in a book
3 stars By Bri, Dec 27 2016
A very cute book and definitely a chick flick. The story is whimsical and unrealistic but that just adds to the charm or the book. Of course the guy saves the day and falls in love with the girl!
The plot is a bit predictable but a lovely read.
More suited to girls in teens

So-so
3 stars By IM, Sep 16 2014
The story starts of very slow, up to half of the story. ( I personally had to skip many boring sections.) Finally, the last one third of the story gets very juicy, and ends ok. The most anoying part for me was the way author kept emphasizing the good (hot) physical apearens to a point of making me feel uncomfortable and desiring to tell the author "ok, I get it, move on".

Quite Unusual
2 stars By Margot, Aug 13 2014
I guess variety is the spice of life. That's probably why I finished this book. I found it difficult to cope with the first-person-present-tense writing style, and the very colloquial side comments to the reader outside of the story line. It all took a bit of getting used to. Some of the characters were quite likable, especially Aunt Weebie, and Miss Mona, but the whole thing seemed fairly far-fetched and, for me, the main character, Andie, didn't exude warmth or likability. There was a hint of romance, although I don't know how when Andie only ever expressed contempt for Max.
Technically, it was the first ebook I'd had any real issues with, with lots of strangely placed line breaks and strange arrangements of conversational quotes.
Although the story didn't finish in this book, I won't be rushing to finish the series.
