I read this to 4 of my children ages 9, 7, 6, and 4 and they all loved it...both boy and girls. It would make a pretty good reader for primary students also, as the sentences are fairly straight forward. It's a take on the times of the Pilgrims lives in early US history, but with 2 fun fictional characters thrown in. I liked the length of the book for this age group too. WE were able to read the whole thing in just under an hour I think, which worked for the younger children's attention span!
