Write Your Own Review
thoroughly enjoyable
4 stars By sarah, Mar 21 2014
I thoroughly enjoyed this historical novel set in the 1800's. It was very Jane Austen-like in many ways, having some similarities to Persuasion. There was a disapproving aunt and scheming cousin trying to thwart the couples road to happiness. However, I appreciated how the heroine here had a lot of spunk to follow her own path despite what those around her may think. I enjoyed the suspense and the language seemed very authentic. I read this easily within a few days and am looking forward to the next story in the series. Highly recommended!
