An incredible true story of Courage and Unwavering Faith

In Holland during WWII, Corrie Ten Boom's army of untrained teenagers including Hans Poley, Piet Hartog, and their friends navigate a deadly labyrinth of challenges to save their Jewish neighbours from the Nazis. They embark on a nonstop, action-packed hunt including escapes through underground tunnels, Gestapo hijacks and heroic acts in the ongoing battle against Hitler's assassins.

The film climaxes in the breath-taking and daring rescue of an orphanage of Jewish children marked for mass execution. At great personal risk, Hans and the youth resistance movement devise an escape plan to help save the children from certain death.

An amazing true story of faith amidst the horrors of the Holocaust, Return To The Hiding Place features a stellar cast including John Rhys-Davies (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Lord of the Rings Trilogy) and a stunning performance from Mimi Sagadin (The Dilemma) as Corrie Ten Boom, the courageous Holocaust survivor (1892-1983) who risked everything to save the lives of others.

An ok watch
2 stars By Mel, Jul 01 2016
I liked the content of the movie. It was true to the time period and raised some interesting questions about the ethics of war time resistance. However, I found myself put off by the poor acting and the slow pace of the film.

A Small Dissappointment
3 stars By Timotius Teh, Dec 02 2015
To be honest, I had really wanted to enjoy this movie. Set in the backdrop of WW2 resistance fighters in Europe protecting a Jewish family, there was plenty of scope for action, excitement and character development. While its values of selflessness, bravery and compassion are spot-on, as an artistic movie it dissappoints. It was hard trying to figure out if the movie was a drama, a thriller or an action blockbuster as the plot continuously switched between scenes and characters, giving the movie a confusing flow.
It's worth watching, but don't expect too many whiz-bang action effects.

Touching, Challenging, Confronting
5 stars By Mattea, Jul 17 2015
This movie gives more of the story surrounding the events of "The Hiding Place". Whereas that movie centered on Corrie and especially the horrors they enduring in the concentration camp (and how she learned to forgive), this movie centers on the youth who helped smuggle Jews and rescue orphans. It is a dramatic, at times confronting, story with a message of trust and doing the right thing, and standing up against injustice and standing up for one's faith no matter what the cost. I think this would especially be a good movie for older teenagers and young adults - to challenge them about their role as Christians in this suffering world.
