"Christianity is unique because it is about being saved through receiving a righteousness from God, rather than offering our own righteousness to God. In Romans, Paul wants us to understand and then experience this righteousness to know its glorious release." Join Dr Timothy Keller as he opens up the first half of the book of Romans, helping you to get to grips with its meaning and showing how it transforms our hearts and lives today. Written for people of every age and stage, from enquirers to new believers to pastors and teachers, this flexible resource is for you to: READ: As a guide to this letter which has changed history repeatedly, showing you how being right with God changes everything. FEED: As a daily devotional to help you grow in Christ as you read and meditate on this portion of God's word. LEAD: As notes to aid you in explaining, illustrating and applying Romans 1 7 as you preach or lead a Bible study. Whoever you are, and however you use it, this is ROMANS

Unpacks the message of Romans
5 stars By Hoa, Jan 02 2017
Keller does an excellent job of familiarising the reader with the salient points of the text, then moving on to drawing out relevant applications from each passage of Romans. He is particularly good at showing how the gospel challenges us as we are influenced by culture. Non-technical, but rigorous and highly readable. Recommended for all readers.

The gospel at the heart of Romans
5 stars By Katelyn, Dec 19 2016
The 'For You' series by the Good Book Company are a well needed addition to the 'commentary world'. The target audience for this series is the everyday Christian, who is looking to know and love God more, and these books provide - truly meeting their slogan as a book to 'read, feed and lead'. Whilst there are other books out there written for this purpose, these books are written by an array of pastors and theologians, some well known names such as Tim Keller and Tim Chester, and some lesser known, but all with a passion for the gospel and a great ability to be able to communicate the meaning and application of God's word. This series is one I highly recommend as an addition to your regular Bible reading.

This book is a fantastic in depth look at the first seven chapters of Paul's letter to the Romans. It is like a commentary in respect of explaining exegesis and context, however does so in an easy to read manner, spending most of the time on what is deemed to be most important or applicable to life, taking the time to discuss and explain the most difficult concepts. Before reading this book, I did not understand the great significance of the gift of righteousness we have in Christ, and this book unpacks that, along with many other aspects of Romans, amplifying the readers understanding of the gospel. I cannot recommend this book highly enough!

This book is recommended as the author critically analyses the chapter of Romans. The author discusses the contextual background and context to provide a meaningful understanding of the chapter. The author discusses the relationship between the old testament and the key figures in order to provide a dapper understanding of the meaning of the gospel in the chapter of Romans. This book is well recommended as it provides an insightful discussion and understanding of the complex chapter written by Paul.

The Power of Romans
5 stars By Helen, Aug 08 2016
Great book for those leading bible studies or even just reading Romans in your own time. Each chapter is explained simply and most importantly, truthfully - always seeking first divine interpretation rather than human ideas. Keller patiently guides you through the complex but worthwhile book of Romans and presents thought-provoking questions for you to contemplate and reflect upon. Romans is a great book in the Bible, there are few other books that so clearly detail how God's righteousness is demonstrated through the atoning sacrifice of His Son, and how this free gift of righteousness is available to all through faith in Jesus. Highly recommend Romans and I highly recommend this book to go along with that!
