Suzan D Johnson Cook

Rev. Dr. Suzan Johnson Cook (D.Min., United Theological Seminary) became the founder and the senior pastor of the Bronx Christian Fellowship, the Bronx's fastest growing new church, after a thirteen year pastorate at the historic Mariners'. She is New York City Police Department's only female Chaplain and the first African American woman to be elected to an American Baptist Church in its 200 year history. Multifaceted and comfortable in diverse settings, she was selected by EBONY Magazine in 1997 as one of the top 15 women in ministry in the nation and in the same year by TIME OUT magazine as one of New York's Top Five (5) preachers.Most recently, she is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of JONCO Productions, Inc. a sales, management and diversity firm which hosts a speaker's bureau and media/book distributions. An advocate for children and youth, she is the Executive Director of the Multi Ethnic Center for Children and Families. Her publications include A New Dating Attitude, Praying For The Men In Your Life, and Sister To Sister (Vols 1-3). Too Blessed to be Stressed: Words of Wisdom for Women on the Move emerged out of her national seminars for women. It is a bestseller and the book of choice for women's conventions and book clubs.
