Caroline happily serves up comfort food to hungry customers, but it's never been Caroline's calling. Or has it? Her new beau thinks it might be!

Caroline wants to do what's right. It's why she broke it off with Mitch, her first love, and it's why she took this waitressing job in her home town. But she's sure her destiny is something bigger-a life that will make a big difference in the world.

But then ownership of the run-down cafe falls into her lap. The former owner believes she can bring the place to its full potential, and with her new beau Deputy Sheriff J.D. Rand cheering her on, she resolves to go for it.

Then Mitch shows up professing his undying love, just as she's offered the job of her dreams. Caroline must determine if God's plan is the life of her dreams or so close she can already touch it.

Excellent Content, Some Technical Issues.
4 stars By Margot, Apr 27 2015
I haven't previously enjoyed books written from a first person point of view, but I soon got used to this one, and really enjoyed the story of Caroline, a young woman who lives to make others happy, at her own expense. There were certainly a few surprises in this story, which I wont detail for fear of spoiling it for you. Caroline makes some tough decisions and the traumas she faces draw her into a closer relationship with God. I loved the Low Country setting, and the extended family that made Caroline's run-down Frogmore Cafe home; the way everyone knew everyone else's business, but really cared for them too. The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars was that there were some formatting issues in the ebook, making scene changes hard to place, and email texts hard to read. Otherwise, a fantastic book by a great, sensitive author. I look forward to reading more.

Frustrating
2 stars By Hannah, Aug 22 2013
This is a sweet story on the whole but I found it very frustrating to read purely because it is written in first person and present tense. But if you like that, or can get past it (which, unfortunately, I couldn't), it's a great story! Believable, nice characters, a sweet romance and real-life complications.
