Meet the Authors
Tony Campolo is professor emeritus of Socilogy at Eastern University,St.Davids, Pennsylvania. He is the founder of the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education, an organisation that develops schools and social programs in various third world countries and in cities across North America. Dr Campolo is an ordained minister and is presently the associate pastor of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in West Philadelphia. He is the author of 33 books including Letters to a Young Evangelical and Everybody Wants to Change the World. He is media commentator on religious, social and political matters and is regularly appears on television and hosts a weekly radio program in England. Publisher.
Fred B. Craddock is Bandy Distinguished Professor of Preaching and New Testament Emeritus in the Candler School of Theology of Emory University. An ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He has written a number of books, including First and Second Peter and Jude (Westminster Bible Companion series) and Luke and Philippians (The Interpretation Commentary), along with numerous books on preaching.
James A. Forbes, Jr. has spoken to more than 100,000 people every year, hailed as "the preacher's preacher." He is senior minister at Riverside Church in New York City, and has also held the position of Joe R. Engle Professor of Preaching at Union Theological Seminary in New York. 1
Hailed as the world's preacher, the late Billy Graham had a career spanning over half a century. He preached the Gospel to more people in a live-audience format than anyone else in history - more than 210 million people, in more than 185 countries and territories through various meetings, including Mission World and Global Mission.
Born William Franklin Graham, Jr. in Charlotte, North Carolina, 17 November 1918, he entered the ministry in 1943 and soon began conducting evangelistic crusades. In 1950, he founded The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which has sponsored crusades and produced radio and television programs as well as films.
Dr. Graham wrote many books, a number of which became bestsellers. His autobiography, Just As I Am, published in 1997, achieved a "triple crown", appearing simultaneously on the three top best-seller lists in one week.
Dr. Graham passed away 21 February 2018.
Dr. Thomas G. Long (Ph.D., Princeton Theological Seminary) is Bandy Professor of Preaching at Candler School of Theology, Emory University.
Dr. Long's research interests are homiletical theory and biblical hermeneutics and preaching. He also is doing research on the theology and practice of Christian funerals.
His publications include The Witness of Preaching, Second Edition (Westminster John Knox 2005); Testimony: Talking Ourselves into Being Christian (Jossey Bass 2004); Beyond the Worship Wars: Building Vital and Faithful Worship (Alban Institute 2001); Hebrews (Interpretation: A Bible Commentary for Teaching and Preaching) (Westminster John Knox 1997) and Matthew (Westminster Bible Companion Series) (Westminster John Knox 1997).

Haddon W. Robinson (Ph.D., University of Illinois) is the Harold John Ockenga Distinguished Professor of Preaching and Presdent of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. His book, Biblical Preaching, has sold more than 200,000 copies and has been used extensively in Bible colleges and seminaries since 1980.
The late Rev Dr. John Stott is known worldwide as a Bible teacher, writer, pastor and mission-leader. During a ministry that extended to seven decades, he authored many books including the best-selling Basic Christianity, Why I Am a Christian and The Cross of Christ ; he was also the editor, (and author of several volumes) of the Bible Speaks Today. In more recent years he was Rector Emeritus of All Souls Church, Langham Place, London; President of the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity; and Founder-President of the Langham Partnership International. He was awarded the CBE in the Queens 2006 New Year Honours. Stott was honored by Time magazine in 2005 as one of the "100 Most Influential People in the World."
