As a wife, I want my marriage to be amazing! I loved 'That Book For Wives'!! Whether you have a great marriage or struggling with yours I believe this book will be a huge encouragement to you! I love Sally's writing style, her honesty and the simplicity of 4 areas that could impact your marriage for the better! My favourite scripture she mentioned was: "A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands." Proverbs 14:1 You and I have the power to change our marriage with the Holy Spirit's help..so don't delay - buy this book today!!

I am 55 years old and been married 35 years, and have read many books on marriage and counseled women about marriage. I cannot recommend Sally Poyzer's book enough. 'That Book for Wives' is written from a Christian perspective and gets straight to the point that many women will be dealing with their marriage issues with very little if any help from their husbands. Not because their men are not reasonable people, but because men are wired differently. Sally deals with the issue of taking responsibility completely for our own part in the marriage, because it is the only part we can or should take responsibility for. Taking her keys points directly from scripture, she shows us a higher way to function in marriage, not an easier way. It is thought provoking, challenging, and offers real answers to real problems. I have used these principles in my own marriage over many years and can attest to their credibility. Thank you, Sally, for being bold enough to tell it like it is, but not leave us stranded.

I really enjoyed reading this book that is why I highly recommend it. It is full of wisdom, very easy to read and with great advice for wives!

After over 40 years of marriage, I didn't really expect to learn anything new, but I was truly blessed, encouraged challenged, and thoroughly enjoyed the read as well!

It has been a long time since I picked up a non-fiction book and found it hard to put down. This book is an easy-to-read account of one person's journey through the first (almost 20) years of marriage. It is written in such a personable manner that you would be forgiven for thinking you were sitting, chatting with the author herself. It is challenging, to say the least, as it never once mentions what your husband can do for you. Instead, you are encouraged to put aside your own needs and think solely about what you can do to enrich your relationship. Sally's message for wives, while certainly counter-cultural, is wise, biblical and surprisingly empowering. I am very thankful this book landed in my lap. Highly recommend.
