Good and bad
3 stars By Hannah, Oct 15 2016
The beginning of the story had my hating the main character and thinking she was an obnoxious lady who needed to learn to respect others, and I wondered how the author could have a whole story around her. However, as the story line develops and you see the transformation and how the attitude originated from frustration you have more empathy towards her and appreciate the characters more.
It's a great story of love, betrayal and forgiveness and the necessary romance along the way

It's Got Everything
4 stars By Margot, Oct 17 2013
Although I found this book a bit slow to start with, by the time I finished, I was looking forward to reading the next one in the series. Lexie, an adopted Mennonite nursemidwife, goes on a journey of self discovery after her adopted father presents her with a mysterious wooden box on his deathbed. There are so many secrets and mysteries as she searches and delves into her Amish birth family's roots, trying to discover her own roots, the reasons she was rejected, and most of all just needing to find love. There is laughter, drama, lots of suspense and mystery, and a little bit of romance. This book has just got it all and I recommend it to any lover of good Christian fiction.
