I expected more
3 stars By Richard, Oct 28 2017
The book of Daniel in the bible is one of my favourite books to read because of the depth of the message and the character of Daniel himself and God's favour on him. This movie, though scripted well, fell short of my expectations due perhaps to the obvious low budget production. Not all the chapters of the book were included like Daniel's vision of the angel which was disappointing. Some parts were also poorly directed like the scene of the fiery furnace which lacked intensity or the lion's den which lacked ferocity. This wonderful book could have been made more alive and better presented through better production and direction. It's not a bad movie, but it could have been done a lot better.

Near Accurate
4 stars By Vek, Oct 22 2017
A nice movie to watch, as it portrays the book of Daniel in almost an accurate manner. Only a few extra additions and unrealistic slip ups (like when it comes to opening the "lion's den" for too long :P), but overall it is good enough. However, the directing and screening in terms of the background castle, animals and swords, could have been better improved to seem more convincing and realistic. In saying that, this movie is still a good way of explaining and portraying the book of Daniel for those who have not tead it or simply wish for a visual version of it. Would particularly recommend it for families with children aged around 9 years old and over.

Excellent Portrayal
5 stars By Janelle, Dec 09 2015
I watched this DVD twice it was such an excellent portrayal of the Book of Daniel. This DVD is really worth the purchase price and we enjoyed it immensely. The storyline puts together the events in logical order which makes the movie easy to understand. I now have a better understanding of events as they occurred in the Bible and this movie has prompted to read the Book of Daniel in the Bible with a better background understanding of events. I definately recommend this DVD.

Book of Daniel DVD
5 stars By BMolesy, Jan 22 2015
Only moments ago have we finished watching this movie. It was such a well done movie, and so enjoyable, that I had to comment immediately, and would congratulate the makers of this film if I had the chance. This film has great costume design, very good acting and good casting. It is evident that it is a low budget feature because of the minimal number of sets, the artistic set of Babylon, and the special effects of the lions den. But truly this is quickly forgotten because of the absolutely fantastic scripting of the film, which draws in almost the entire book of Daniel into one very successful story, and does so while being very faithful to the text of Daniel in the Bible. I would not claim that it is word for word, but it is faithful to the text, and not only to the text of Daniel, but draws upon other passages in the Bible as well. The only real Biblical error, which is often made, was the wrong decree over Jerusalem. But all in all, this was an excellent production, which I am sure most Christians, from even childhood up, will enjoy. It is rated PG, and this is understandable for a couple of discreet scenes of people being killed. Excellent movie.
