Marvin A. Sweeney is Professor of Hebrew Bible at Claremont School of Theology in Claremont, California. He is the author of several books on Old Testament literature including 1 and 2 Kings: A Commentary (Old Testament Library, 2007), Form and Intertextuality in Prophetic and Apocalyptic Literature (Mohr Siebeck, 2005); The Prophetic Literature (Abingdon, 2005); Zephaniah (Hermeneia, 2003); King Josiah of Judah: The Lost Messiah of Israel (Oxford, 2001); The Twelve Prophets ( 2 vols., Berit Olam, 2000); Isaiah 1-39 (FOTL, 1996); and others.
