Leadership Principles from a Renowned Agent of Change

Cultures and organizations do not change without strong leadership. While many leadership books focus on management or
administration, the central focus of The Conviction to Lead is on changing minds.

Dr. Mohler was the driving force behind the transformation of Southern Seminary from a liberal institution of waning influence to a
thriving evangelical seminary at the heart of the Southern Baptist Convention. Since then he has been one of the most prominent voices in evangelicalism, fighting for Christian principles and challenging secular culture.

Using his own experiences and examples from history, Dr. Mohler demonstrates that real leadership is a transferring of conviction to others, affecting their actions, motivations, intuition, and commitment. This practical guide walks the reader through what a leader needs to know, do, and be in order to affect change.

Excellent, Essential!
5 stars By Raj, Jun 01 2015
I have consumed a lot of material on leadership over the past few years. Some were philosophical, which provided excellent insight on the nature of leadership. Some were practical, exploring methodology and such. Others were introspective, focusing on the character, personality and attributes of the leader himself.

Mohler's "Conviction To Lead" is a monumental work. I had no idea who he was when I picked this one up, and reading his testimony, background and the work he has wrought to bring deep cultural change to an ailing institution was very inspiring. Albert deals with leadership as a consequence of deep, gut-wreching, all-in conviction. From this place of moral resolve is where we lead from, not purely from the accumulation of experience, talent and skill. I would recommend this book to anyone, including those entering into roles of influence and leadership, and those who have been in some leadership capacity for a time and need a refreshing perspective on what it's all about. Most challenging was the final chapter on retirement and how it's a broken, false and secular ideal. We never truly retire when we are leading with conviction. Even though formal titles may be passed on, true leaders never 'retire'. What hope for me in generations to come, and so empowering for those of age who may feel irrelevant and useless. Not so!

Please read this book. =)
