I liked how this book was easy to read and how some chapters were really short which encourages me to read more swiftly. A lot of angelic perspectives and their otherness is preserved while still being relatable. I enjoyed pondering over which sources Wendy used for the plot, whether books on Earth or a word of the Holy Spirit. Very evocative descriptions in parts while some parts are a bit more bare bones and covering a lot. I will continue reading this series. Thank you Wendy, thank you Koorong.
I loved these 4 books. Can't wait for book 5. Hope it's due soon :)
This is an amazing book. There is a lot of description initially which made the reading a little slow going, but it is definitely worth the effort. The plot and characters are fantastic. When I finished reading I found myself still thinking back over the book and wanting to go to my Bible to check out themes and ideas that were discussed in the book. Can't wait to read the others.
This novel will appeal to lovers of Frank Peretti. It is well written - although starts a little slowly - and it is full of action. Revolving around the angelic beings of Lucifer, Gabriel and Michael, it tells the story of Jesus Christ and the Father interacting in human history. Wendy Alec brings insightful perspectives to events briefly mentioned in the Bible, and reading this book will give you plenty to think about and discuss with your spouse/friends.
