This book was cerebral yet easy to get through. It isn't so much what Bob says about the gospel or with a particular emphasis on the gospel albums but it is a book highlighting certain ways of thinking and parallels with other artists that help a listener figure out what Bob is saying in his songs about the gospel. I learnt a few things and enjoyed it but it was not what I expected.
